Local Roots, Strong Experience

My name is Cody Martin, and I’m the owner of Martin Electrical Service. I grew up in Atkins, Arkansas, and have spent the past 18 years building a career in the electrical field. Over that time, I’ve worked in residential, commercial, distribution line work, and industrial roles, gaining the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to take on projects of all sizes and complexity.

Starting Out

I began my career in 2007 and spent about six years working in residential wiring, learning the trade from the ground up—installing circuits, upgrading panels, and making sure families had safe, reliable power in their homes. During this time, I also expanded into commercial projects, wiring businesses, offices, and shops. These jobs taught me the importance of precision and planning to keep businesses running smoothly.

Distribution Line Work

For four years, I worked in distribution line work, installing and maintaining electrical services to homes, buildings, and communities. That meant everything from running heavy equipment such as excavators, to pulling wire, and ensuring safe service to customers. Even while doing this work, I continued handling residential and commercial jobs, which gave me a broader perspective on customer needs.

Industrial Experience

I then spent eight years in the industrial electrical field at Arkansas Nuclear One, where I served as a lead journeyman electrician. In this role, I maintained and repaired highly technical systems critical to generating power for thousands of customers. My work included large motors, switchgears, MCCs (motor control centers), and complex electrical circuits. I also regularly interpreted detailed schematics and blueprints to perform precise installations and repairs.

Today

As a licensed Master Electrician and fully insured professional, I combine all of these experiences to handle projects of every size. From wiring a new home to upgrading a commercial facility or troubleshooting a complicated system, I approach each job with the same focus: doing it right, doing it safely, and standing behind the work.

No matter the project, my goal is to deliver skill, reliability, and attention to detail—giving customers confidence that their electrical work is in the best hands.
